Invincible "Shapershifters" Review

ahem, my homeboy DJ Groweyez picked up a copy of Invincible's new album and here's what he had to say about it:

Detroit's Invincible

"Shapeshifters", the debut album from female emcee Invincible is a collection of hard hitting lyricism over Detroit production. Quickly becoming the voice of Detroit's conscious hip-hop movement with artists such as Buff 1, Wordsworth, and Tiombe Lockhart contributing to this project, Invincible sets the lyricism bar high and delivers.

The title track "Shapeshifters" (Waajeed) is definitely the highlight of the album, while the first single “Locusts” f/ Finale (House Shoes) is the banger. I had the chance to peep the Detroit Takeover show in Long Beach not too long ago and got to see her rock them joints live… there is no question that this woman could rock in any cypher. Definitely be sure to check for the album. Production by Black Milk, Waajeed, House Shoes and Haircut among others comprise the 14 tracks with a bonus video for “Locusts” also available on the disc. Score one more for the D!
