“A lot of people don’t understand rap music, and a lot of people don’t understand hip-hop and there’s a difference. Hip-hop is a culture and involves more than just a beat. It’s a spirit and it’s soulful, and you have to be an artist with soul. You can’t fault them because they don’t know the difference. That’s why it’s good to have an instrumental part because maybe if they take the time to they would understand a little better. I don’t like all rap artists, there are some out there that shouldn’t be doing it but they got a hold of some good beats and got on.”
